I, along with my husband and two young adult children have been a resident of Sherwood Forest since July 2009. Over the past 13 ½ years, I have come to value our neighborhood and the community of people that help it grow. There are two main reasons why I desire to become a member of the Sherwood Forest Board of Directors. The first reason is to become better informed and to work as a team with the current members in helping other neighbors receive information regarding the community in which we live and the surrounding areas. I firmly believe that when people are informed they grow and feel a part of the community. The second reason is simply to serve. Whether it’s walking door to door, making phone calls, sending correspondence, or coordinating events, I am a team player and will do my part to help and support the community. Professionally, I have served as an educator for the past 28 years and I am currently employed as an Early Childhood Consultant with the Wayne County Intermediate School District, Wayne Regional Educational Service Agency (Wayne RESA). |
